Church Street, which is parallel to M G Road, is amongst the most popular hangouts of nightlife seekers. Full of pubs, bars, restaurants, shops, etc. this street buzzes with the energy of the younger crowd. You can walk along here, visit any pub or bar, feel the place and move on..
UB City and its environs is home to several theme-based restaurants. Within UB city there are bars & restaurants dishing out live music on many days of the week. Try the roof-top 'Skye' - it happens to be the favorite of many people I know, including my wife!
The VV Puram or the Vishwevara Puram Food Street is the most popular vegetarian food street of Bangalore. Surrounded by a string of temples and very old localities of Bangalore, this street offers mouth-watering dishes, both sweet and spicy, to thousands who throng this street every evening. As you walk through the street you will invariably be greeted by; - Sounds of masala dosas being spread on the hot pans; - Sights of steaming idlis being served along with green chutney; - Scores of pani puris being swallowed by the yound and the old; - Smells of bondas, bajjis, bhel puris, masala puris, pav-bhajis, etc. wafting through the air; - Scenes of jalebis, jamuns, lassis, laddus, rasagollas, basundis, etc. and other sweet dishes waiting for your approval - Rows of street vendors doing brisk business as the evening wears on; Although this street serves food late into the night, its better to arrive here by 11 pm so as to catch all the stalls!
Every city has a seedy side to it. And Kalasipalyam and the areas around are one example. We drive around this place and watch nightlife from the safe environs of the vehicle. We can get down and stroll only if the guide thinks it is absolutely safe.
Majestic is the heart of the town in many ways. Home to the main train station, main bus station, high density of hotels, bars, restaurants, street food vendors, (unofficial) red light area, etc. If you wish, you can visit one of those bars where you can stand and have a beer watching over very-local Indians.
A string of high-level popular pubs have sprung up in recent years. One of the best among them is TOIT which is a brewery. Maybe it is fitting to end the evening at the place.
