This place is 18th cross Malleswaram Bus stand on Margosa Road. The guide will wait here for you.
This place is also known as CTR. Walking tour ends after a visit to this place.
Veena Stores is among Top 10 breakfast joints of Bangalore. Steaming idlis with fresh coconut chutney is what we suggest here though other dishes such as Upma, Shyavige, vada, etc are all equally good.
Very clean and busy place started by the Adigas, this place serves most South Indian and North Indian veg dishes that are popular. Here we propose to taste Khara bath, Kesari bath and button idlis. Their Open Dosa is grand but needs a separate visit for that since it is too filling.
Shriraj Lassi is famous and available all over Bangalore and abroad. Apart from the 'cool' lassis, one can taste their kulphis and jamuns topped with vanilla ice-cream as well. Just besides Shriraj Lassi, one can taste hot bondas, bajjis and pakodas (all dumplings of potatoes, onions, plantain, chillies) etc.,
Asha Sweets is the most famous SWEETS outlet north of Bangalore. Apart from an all-India array of sweets on display here, one can also dig into mouth-watering chaats especially Pani Puri which is the ubiquitous snack of India.
A favorite from yester years but still serves perhaps the best vada (a dumpling of lentils) with extraordinary sambar in town. Although Masala Dosa is very good here, we may better wait till CTR to happen.
Among the "Best-Masala-Dosa-Fights" in Bangalore, CTR leads the Review ratings. Modest restaurant with modest seating arrangements, with at least half an hour waiting time during peak hours, Shri Sagar, or CTR as it is traditionally known, serves the crispiest dosa with a twang of two different chutneys. Not for nothing would people come here looking for you-can't-eat-only-one dosa of Bangalore!
