A very special foot expedition for regular walkers! Starting at Paul da Serra and finishing in Fanal, this full-day breathtaking 7.15 mile (11.5km) walk is one of the few places in Madeira where you can see the Laurissilva vegetation at its best.

Meeting and pickup
Pickups from selected hotels in Funchal, Câmara de Lobos and Caniço is available wherever possible.
Note that some hotels do not allow for easy access or parking. On those cases we'll send you an alternative pickup point close to your hotel.
For hotels in the Lido area, we'll kindly ask customers to meet us at our office in at Monumental Lido.

1Vereda do Fanal
A very special foot expedition that is recommended for regular and more experienced walkers! It begins at Madeira's highest plateau, Paul da Serra, and finishes in the Fanal area where there's a very big forest of Tis where you can relax and appreciate this wonderful place. This breathtaking walk is one of the few places in Madeira where you can see the imense Laurissilva vegetation at its best! Along the way you will certainly be able to stop to admire the ancient trees, a good variation of different birds and the stunning views over the valleys of Ribeira da Janela and Chão da Ribeira.
