Banteay Srei is unique for its highly intricate, 3D carvings in a soft, pinkish sandstone, its relatively miniature size compared to other Angkor temples, and the fact that it was not commissioned by a king, but by a Brahman courtier. It is often called the "jewel of Khmer art" or the "Citadel of the Women" due to the delicate and detailed craftsmanship.
Kulen Mountain's uniqueness stems from its role as the birthplace of the Khmer Empire, its spiritual significance, and its combination of natural and archaeological wonders. It's the sacred site where King Jayavarman II declared independence in 802 AD, and it features waterfalls, ancient temple ruins, and the River of a Thousand Lingas.

The most beautiful, pink sandstone temple with detailed caving. Its 35 kilometers away from grand tour site. Because of its delicate carvings Banteay Srei is also known as “Lady Temple”. You can stop mid-way to see locals making the natural sugar products from the sugar palm. Maybe you have never seen this before so take the opportunity while in this in this area.

2Phnom Kulen National Park
KULEN MOUNTAIN is almost an hour a half away by car. Kulen mountain is 65kms away from city. You can swim at the waterfall (ask your hotel if you can borrow a towel) if you want to swim. Kulen is a famous attraction, popular with locals as well as visitors. A Trekking Tour is possible. The mountain has a few temples which were built in 802 AD, before the Angkor era, which you will see. Waterfall Holy River-Lingam and Yoni Reclining Buddha Hindu Worship Ocean Rock Creek of Rock and view.

3Boeng Mealea
his temple is quite different to other temple sites. It has not been repaired and you can see how it looked when discovered. See how the jungle took over, causing the temple to collapse. Wander around the ruins, find a quiet place to contemplate the history. Many photo opportunities for you. This temple is in the remote in the countryside and many tress grow on the stones as the second tomb raider at Ta Promh temple also.
