What to expect

Learn how to be a real beekeeper in the tranquil countryside setting of São Bras de Alportel near Faro and Loulé and discover how these incredible insects work their magic to create one of Mother Nature's sweetest treats that is honey.

Fully dressed as a real beekeeper, you will visit beehives in the fields, learn the process of taking care of the bees, taste different kinds of honey produced during the different seasons, and share with the beekeeper a delicious picnic surrounded by cork oaks. As a beekeeper the to-do list for the day is always changing so each workshop is going to be a little bit different – you might even build or paint a hive!
