In the morning, fly to Bayan-Ulgii Province, located in the far west of Mongolia.
Upon arrival, drive to Tavan Bogd National Park, heading towards the park ranger's station at Oigor (220km, 6-7 hours). The drive will offer spectacular views of the Altai Mountains
Day three marks the beginning of your horse trekking adventure. Begin your horse trekking journey, riding towards the base camp at Potanin Glacier (approx. 20km, 6-7 hours). Enjoy the breathtaking landscapes as you trek through this rugged terrain. Note: From this point onwards, luggage will be transported by camels until the end of Day 6 as there is no road for vehicles to follow the caravan.
Ride along Tsagaan Gol, a river that originates from Potanin Glacier, and visit the Tuva nomadic families (approx. 18km, 5-6 hours). Engage with the locals and learn about their unique culture and lifestyle.
Continue your trek towards Dakilbai Pass, passing by Shiveet Mountain where you can explore ancient petroglyphs (approx. 22km, 6-7 hours). These rock carvings provide a glimpse into the region's history
Pass through Dakilbai Pass and ride along Tsagaan Us Valley, arriving at Aral Tolgoi (approx. 20km, 6-7 hours). The valley offers stunning views and diverse landscapes
Ride along the picturesque shores of Khuurgan Nuur to Khoton Nuur (approx. 18km, 5-6 hours). Both lakes are known for their clear waters and stunning surroundings
Ride to Baga Turgen Waterfall, arriving in the early afternoon (approx. 15km, 4-5 hours). Spend the rest of the day resting and enjoying the beautiful waterfall and surrounding nature. Visit a local Kazakh eagle hunter, learning about their ancient practice of hunting with golden eagles
Ride to Mogoit Valley, where your horse trekking journey concludes (approx. 20km, 6-7 hours). Enjoy the serene valley and prepare for the next day's drive
Drive back to Ulgii, the provincial capital (approx. 170km, 5-6 hours). Explore the local market and museum to immerse yourself in the region's culture and history
