    Our first stop will be Farafenni, the main commercial town in the North Bank region. It’s a border town between Senegal and The Gambia. Travelers can do a horse/donkey ride in the heart of the market for 20 minutes.

    From the Farafenni market, we will drive to the historic Wassu Stone Circle (Stone Circles of SeneGambia), a burial ground for important past kings of ancient Gambia. We will also visit the museum on-site, which has a rich and storied history.

    River Gambia National Park

    From the Wassu Stone Circle, we will drive to the Kuntaur River and board a boat for a trip along the River Gambia. A stop at Baboon Island to visit the Chimpanzee Rehabilitation center. A good opportunity to spot Hippos and crocodiles in the wild.

    Colonial Georgetown, Slave Market, and Underground Slave Dungeon

    A tour of colonial Georgetown to see the remnants of the slave market, the underground slave dungeon, and the freedom tree. Drive back through the south bank region of The Gambia. On our way home, stop by a local family for a visit in one of the villages.
