When visiting Pula you can't skip the beautiful Arena. It is one of the most important monuments in Croatia that has to be visited. One of the most well preserved, sixth largest, built for 23 thousand spectators with local limestone from quarries on the west coast of Istria. Some curios legends are connected with the construction of this beautiful monument. Gladiators' purpose was to entertain, to make the crowd enjoy, and to make them feel a part of the Roman society.
