Founded in 1927, Café Luso is a living museum of Fado. It is the oldest Fado house in Portugal, it has accompanied great milestones in the history of this musical genre, Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2011. It is in the heart of Bairro Alto, in Lisbon, that we find the restaurant Café Luso, an old wine cellar and tavern from the 18th century that survived the devastating earthquake of 1755. This historical setting is the backdrop for the emotional melodies of fado. Café Luso is more than a Fado restaurant; it is a museum that breathes the tradition of fado. Voices of countless fado legends echoed on the walls, creating a moving and inspiring atmosphere. It was there, for example, that Amália Rodrigues' first Fado album was recorded live. Discover the best of traditional Portuguese gastronomy here.

    Miradouro Sao Pedro de Alcantara

The São Pedro de Alcântara viewpoint is one of the largest and most iconic observation points in Lisbon. It is right next to the top of the Glória elevator and offers a special view of the city. Here you can see the entire Avenida da Liberdade, the Restauradores and the Baixa, as well as the hill of São Jorge Castle, with its imposing walls and its photogenic green crown of gentle pine trees. You can also see the viewpoint of the Church of Grace, with its imposing church, in all its details. This viewpoint has the particularity of being part of a beautiful and well-kept garden, where you can have a refreshment on the kiosk's terrace. Also find an original tile map to identify some of the iconic locations you can see. This is, without a doubt, one of the unmissable spots in the city.
