Syamambhu – The oldest Buddhist Stupa in the Kathmandu Valley dates back over 2000 years. Also known as Monkey Temple, it gets its nickname from all the rhesus monkeysthat will entertain you. The site consists of many temples, stupas and monasteries. Swamambhu is located on the top of a large hill that provides a wonderful overlook of The Kathmandu Valley.
Patan Durbar Square – Patan is located across the sacred Bagmati River from Kathmandu and until 1769 was its own kingdom. Known as the city of arts, Patan features amazing carvings and temples by the Newari people who have called this place home for hundreds of years. Patan has its own historic royal palace, amazing Hindu temples and an outstanding museum that displays the cultural art from centuries Before.
Boudhanath – This Buddhist holy site is home to the 3 rd largest Buddhist Stupa in all of Asia. Rising to a height of 36 meters (118 ft), it is home of the largest Tibetan refugee Community in Nepal. Circumstances the Stupa as you explore Tibetan monasteries With their butter lamps flickering.
