Discover two natural environments in Monteverde with this combined tour featuring hanging bridges and a night walk, led by a local naturalist guide.
At Selvatura Park, spend 2.5 hours exploring the evergreen tropical montane forest—from the forest floor to the treetops. Cross eight hanging bridges and encounter miniature orchids, bromeliads, mosses, and towering tree ferns, all while learning about the rich biodiversity of the cloud forest.
After a 30-minute transfer, visit Finca Lantana—a local private reserve dedicated to ecotourism, environmental education, and conservation. During a 2-hour night walk, explore the premontane forest beneath a canopy of ancient trees. Keep an eye out for frogs, insects, tarantulas, scorpions, and—if you’re lucky—sloths.
Experience two distinct settings to connect with nature by both day and night. Wildlife sightings will naturally vary.

Hike across the hanging bridges in the Monteverde Cloud Forest We will meet at the Selvatura Park reception office. Night hike Guests can meet their guide at the Finca Lantana Night Tour reception office in Cerro Plano.
What to expect
Experience the best of Monteverde’s biodiversity on this unique combo tour combining the famous Selvatura Hanging Bridges with a guided Night Wildlife Walk in a protected rainforest refuge.
Your adventure begins at Selvatura Park, where a professional naturalist guide leads you along scenic forest trails and spectacular suspension bridges high above the cloud forest canopy. From this unique perspective, you may observe tropical birds, hummingbirds, toucans, orchids, and, with some luck, the legendary Resplendent Quetzal. The hanging bridge walk continues until approximately 4:30 PM, while your guide explains the ecology and biodiversity of this extraordinary ecosystem.
After the canopy walk, we travel about 6 km to a nearby Wildlife Refuge for the second part of the experience.
As night falls, the forest becomes active with nocturnal life. During the guided night walk, you may observe frogs, sleeping birds, sloths, insects, bats, and reptiles.
This tour allows you to explore two protected reserves in one unforgettable afternoon and evening in Monteverde.
