We provide all the equipment needed; safe and comfortable kayaks with instruction and a tour guide to take you to the best spots. We can lead you on an adventure by boat to explore the amazing Kelleys Island "treasures" in the parks and preserves while you just relax and enjoy yourself. You will learn about the island history and experience the beauty and the nature up close. Make some special memories on Kelleys Island when you visit this fascinating place.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
This two hour tour begins and ends at the Kelleys Island State Park Kayak Launch at the sign for the Kelley Island Water Trail sign beyond the beach. The cell reception is spotty on the North side of the island so check your phone for tour updates and directions prior to arriving at the State Park.

We start at the Kelleys Island State Park Kayak launch, with beautiful views of the North Bay, the beach and rock pier. After getting comfortable in the kayaks we paddle out of the bay and around to the North shore.

After leaving North Bay, we paddle along the beautiful North shore line for about 15 minutes to the Alvar State Preserve. Here we stop and explore this rare habitat finding fossils and glacial erratics while learning about island history. We board the kayaks again and paddle to our next adventure.

After we paddle across the bay we land on this beach to explore this all together different and unique habitat of North Pond. This rare lake embayment pond and barrier beach is a fascinating preserve and another quick rest break. Wild life viewings throughout the trip are frequent.
