But Lanzerac is more than just a hotel. The historic homestead which bears the 1830 on its gable and lies on the ground that was given to its first owner 140 years earlier also presides over vineyards and also a winery that together produces excellent wines, both red and white . It is also known to be the first winery to bottle a native South African wine called Pinotage. A chocolate and wine pairing here is conducted by well knowledgeable Sommelier.
