Enjoy a guided walk plus free time in Narai-juku to explore the historic streets, take photos, and visit local shops or cafés when open. Then grate fresh wasabi for lunch and take a short stroll along the clear-water canals and iconic waterwheels.
This is not a rushed checklist tour — we keep the pace calm so you can enjoy the atmosphere and experience real freshly grated wasabi.
The tour is available year-round. In winter, some shops and cafés may be closed or operate shorter hours.
Main option: Matsumoto Start (9:45 AM) → Matsumoto Station, with optional Matsumoto Castle drop-off.

Arrive in Narai-juku, one of the best-preserved post towns on the historic Nakasendo route. Enjoy a relaxed guided walk along the historic main street, with stories, photo spots, and local insights. Then enjoy free time to explore at your own pace—small shops, snacks, coffee, and plenty of photo opportunities.

2Daio Wasabi Farm
A proper lunch experience: grate fresh wasabi yourself, then enjoy a short stroll along the clear-water canals and past the iconic waterwheels. You can also try local favorites like wasabi ice cream and wasabi croquettes.
