What to expect
In this local experience, you will learn to cook two of the oldest typical Gjirokastra recipes and a dessert. We will share with you the secret ingredient, as we have inherited it from generation to generation from family tradition.
You will get acquainted with the spices and teas of our mountains, their use and benefits. During the tour you will also enjoy traditional appetizers as well as various drinks, everything mixed with local history and folklore.
Typical food to enjoy: - qifqi , pie(byrek) meatballs (qofte) etc. You will take the written recipe and what you cooked at home. You can find us very easily, in the heart of the medieval bazaar, with the open doors , the sleeves rolled up and a warm welcome making you feel at home.
