On this desert tour from Marrakech to Fes you will enjoy 4 unforgettable days in Morocco, visiting places as captivating and exotic as the Merzouga desert.
This is the perfect way to explore the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and the highlights of the Sahara Desert and a visit to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site without spending hours organizing transportation, accommodation and an itinerary. Travel easily from Marrakech to Fes in an air-conditioned 4WD or modern minivan and enjoy a 4-day adventure that includes accommodations in two destinations, a camel ride, select meals (Dinners & Breakfasts)...
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech or any meeting point agreed upon in advance! We will be in touch a day before your tour to let you know the pick-up time and the name of your driver as well.
After picking you up at the Marrakech airport, or at the hotel or riad of your choice, we will begin this unforgettable 4-day desert tour through the interior of Morocco. During the journey through the Atlas Mountains we will cross Tizi n'Tichka. Located at 2260 meters, it is the Moroccan road crossing located at higher altitude. The tour through the places of the Atlas will finally take us to Ouarzazate. We will travel to the outskirts of the city to visit the legendary Kasbah of Ait Ben Hadu: a citadel that has served as a natural set for the filming of films such as Gladiator or The Kingdom of Heaven. From Ait Ben Hadu we will continue the itinerary of this day in the direction of Skoura, where we will stay in love with the Amredhyle Kasbah. We will conclude this unforgettable day through the valleys of Roses and Dades. We will have dinner and stay at a hotel in the Dades Valley.
Discover Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate, Morocco: Morocco's largest film studio, where visitors tour the decaying sets that litter the harsh desert environment.
Free time to walk in Todra and Dades Gorges. They are from two sister canyons in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, near the town of Tinghir.
After the forces are replenished with a good breakfast at the Dades Valley hotel, we will embark on the route to the Todra Gorges. We will contemplate the amazing natural landscapes of these breathtaking gorges, whose steep terrain has taken advantage of the Berbers that inhabit the area.
The 4 day Marrakech desert tour will continue to the lush palm grove of Jorf and the small town of Erfoud, where we will visit a traditional marble workshop.
When the orange lights of the sunset begin to emerge in the Moroccan sky we will reach the desert of Merzouga. We will go to the Haimas camp where we will spend the next two nights enjoying an exciting camel ride through the dunes. The day will conclude with a succulent dinner under the stars of the desert.
No jams. No overwhelming schedules. No hurry to catch this or that subway. No. None of that. This time we will wake up with another feeling very different from what we are used to. The awakening will be different: a sunrise over the desert of Merzouga, just at the moment when the scarlet hues dye the dunes. Hard to get over it, right? We will have breakfast with this heady natural spectacle. To continue discovering the desert landscapes, we will make an off-road tour through the dunes of Erg Chebbi, the highest in Morocco.
Later, we will stop in the town of Khamlia village where you will enjoy Gnawa music, visit to Mifis (Metal mines) so you can visit it on your own and then we will take you to your respective riad hotels to regain strength with a delicious dinner.
We will have breakfast at the foot of the dunes of Merzouga. With the batteries fully charged, we will move north towards Rissani: the former capital of the Alawish sultans.
After knowing its exciting history we will cross the places of the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas to Ifrane. Is it true that it is "the Moroccan Switzerland".
From Ifrane we will finally head towards Fes. Three hours before the departure of your flight, we will take you to the airport. We can also approach you to the hotel or riad of the city that you indicate.
