Itinerary

    Day 1

    Sapa - Heavens Gate - Binh Lu - Tam Duong

    From Sapa, you will cycle up the highest mountain pass of Vietnam to reach the stunning Heaven’s Gate. From here, you will have the chance to enjoy the fantastic view of mountain, green valley and the long snake-shaped road which you will pass by later. Then, you will leave for Binh Lu which is home of a number of villages of ethnic minority people such as Black Dao, Giay, etc. On the way there, you will cycle through picturesque mountainous landscapes. The next part of the day is to go up to another high pass and you will be transferred there by a jeep. From that high pass, you will enjoy an easy ride downhill to get to Tam Duong where you stay for an overnight in a small hotel. 40 minutes driving/ 4 hours cycling/ 1 hour lunch.

    Tam Duong - Phong Tho - Paso

    In case that day is Thursday or Sunday, you will be able to be taken to Tam Duong market where you can see colorful images of many different ethnic minority people in their beautiful costumes of White Hmong, Flower Hmong, Nhang and Pu Na ethnic groups. From Tam Duong, you will get on a jeep to get to the pass between Tam Duong and Phong Tho. Here, you will be equipped with a quality mountain bike to cycle downhill on a dirt road of 15 kilometers. Then, you will turn right of the road to reach the market town of Phong Tho which is located on a scenic tributary of Na River. You will follow a small road leading you through the unexplored area of some ethnic villages and a huge riverside banana plantation.

    Paso - Sin Ho – Muong Lay

    After having breakfast, you will start biking tour by riding the bike from Paso through the scenic Na river valley. Along the way, you will pass by many small hill tribe villages of Red and White Hmong, Kho Mu and White Thai ethnic minorities. You will have the chance enjoy the peaceful beauty of the riverside landscape and sound of the river all along the ride until you arrive at Lai Chai in the early afternoon. Upon your arrival there, you will enjoy a walk around the town and then an easy trekking in the mountains. You can also have the chance to enjoy a refreshing swim in the river. After the journey, you will get back to the hotel to relax with a shower or a cup of coffee or beer Approx: 5 hours cycling/ 1 hour lunch.

    Muong Lay - Dien Bien Phu

    After having breakfast, you will get on a jeep for a drive of about 30km to reach the starting point of the biking journey. Once you arrive at there, you will hop on the bike to cycle downhill to Muong Lay village. The road from Muong Lay to Dien Bien Phu is quite good, which will make your cycling more enjoyable and relaxing. En route, you will pass by some hill tribe villages inhabited by White Thai, Red and White Hmong and Khmu ethnic minority people.

    Dien Bien Phu

    In the afternoon, you will arrive at Dien Bien Phu and finish your exciting 4-day adventure on a bike. Approx: 30 minutes driving/ 4 hours cycling/ 1 hour lunch.
