Dating back to the 6th century BC, this temple was dedicated to Apollo, the god of light, music, and prophecy. Admire the striking Ionic columns, altar, and the bronze statues of Apollo and Diana that once adorned the sanctuary. Your archaeologist guide will explain how this temple reveals the deep Greek influence on Roman architecture and religion. Standing here, you can imagine the rituals and ceremonies that took place in honor of the gods, all set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Vesuvius.
