    Perched majestically on a steep cliff 70 meters above the crashing waves of the Indian Ocean, Uluwatu Temple (Pura Luhur Uluwatu) is one of Bali’s most important spiritual landmarks. Dedicated to the spirits of the sea, it offers breathtaking panoramic views, especially at sunset.     Kecak and Fire Dance

    Performed daily at sunset against the dramatic cliffside backdrop of Uluwatu Temple, the Kecak Dance is one of Bali’s most iconic cultural experiences. Unlike other Balinese dances that use a gamelan orchestra, Kecak is performed entirely by a circle of 50 to 150 men chanting "chak-ke-chak-ke-chak" in a mesmerizing rhythmic harmony. The performance depicts the Hindu epic, the Ramayana, telling the story of Prince Rama’s battle to rescue his wife, Sita, from the evil King Ravana with the help of the monkey god, Hanuman.
