While you can see these from a car or a trek, there is only one way to truly feel the pulse of the island: Ayung River Rafting. Located in the heart of Ubud, the Ayung River is Bali’s most famous and popular rafting destination.

Unlike other rafting destinations in Bali that focus purely on extreme, heart-stopping drops, the Ayung River offers a perfect balance. It is rated as Class II and III rapids, making it accessible to almost everyone—from adventurous children (usually aged 5+) to grandparents, and everyone in between. Don’t let the moderate rating fool you, though. The 10-kilometer stretch of river provides plenty of thrills. You’ll bounce over turbulent waves, navigate through narrow gorges, and paddle hard against the current.
