Meeting and pickup
The meeting point is at Piazza Trilussa, in the heart of Trastevere. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the tour start time. The Guide will be waiting for you in the square and will be easily recognizable.

The tour starts in the historic center of Rome, where you will meet your local Guide and discover how street food is part of Roman culture. Strolling through alleys, historic bakeries and traditional shops, you will visit authentic activities frequented by residents and taste specialties such as supplì, pizza by the slice, cold cuts and cheeses, Ariccia porchetta, artisan ice cream and coffee. The Guide will share curiosities about the history and gastronomic traditions of the city, explaining the origin of each specialty. Choosing the 10-tasting tour, you will continue the experience with fried cod fillet, white pizza with mortadella, trapizzino and maritozzo with cream. Along the way you will also receive advice on the best authentic places and restaurants where the Romans eat.

2Basilica di Santa Maria in Trastevere
During this stop you will visit the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, one of the oldest and most fascinating churches in Rome. Participants will have about 10–15 minutes to admire the beautiful medieval mosaics of the apse, the rich coffered ceiling and the unique atmosphere of this place of worship. The Guide will briefly explain the history of the basilica and its important artistic and religious value, before continuing with the tour.
