Chase the sunset down the Grand Canal with a glass of complimentary Prosecco in hand. From the water, take in the pink-and-white facade of the Doge's Palace and the bell tower rising over Piazza San Marco, angles most visitors on foot never catch. Slip into a narrow, tree-lined waterway tucked behind the Biennale Gardens, where the noise of the main canals fades fast. Drift alongside a working squero, one of the last traditional boatyards in Venice still crafting gondolas by hand, then spot the fortified walls of the Arsenale and the Building Bridges art installation. Feel the boat pick up pace as the lagoon opens wide, with Murano's glass-furnace skyline and the cypress-lined walls of San Michele drifting into view.
