Ready to escape Rome for the day? This round-trip journey to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast pairs ancient history with free time in either Positano or Sorrento.
Travel south in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle with your driver and tour leader, soaking in the changing scenery as you approach the coast. You’ll enjoy free time in your chosen seaside town, whether that’s Positano, known for its narrow staircases, boutique shops, and dramatic cliffside setting, or Sorrento, loved for its grand terraces, lemon groves, and lively piazzas. Take your time exploring, browsing local shops, or settling in for a leisurely lunch.
Later, continue on to Pompeii, where an expert archaeologist guide will bring the ancient city to life beneath Mount Vesuvius. Walk along remarkably preserved streets, see the plaster cast victims, visit the baths and ancient brothel, and capture unforgettable views.

Meeting and pickup
Please arrive 15 minutes early. The meeting point is Piazzale Flaminio 20 - in front of Pizza Dolce Cucina Pizza, under the trees. It is a 2-minute walk from Flaminio Metro Station and Viale Washington (bus area). Look for our friendly staff in red, holding a bright red "The Tour Guy" sign!
