The tour starts in front of Casa Vicens. This was the first project of Gaudí, when he was a young graduate! For the first time, he was able to use all his creativity to deliver a unique place inspired by Oriental motives. You will access Casa Vicens and hear a live introduction from your guide. Then you'll have some time to explore the house at your own pace
The area surrounding Casa Vicens is the neighborhood of Gràcia, a small town that used to be in the banlieue of Barcelona until the city expanded at the end of the 19th century. While you walk down its narrow streets, you will appreciate how it has kept a genuine air that makes it one of the most attractive areas in town for locals.
Casa Milà is the last work that Gaudí completed in his life. Looking up at this building, you'll learn some anecdotes - it is now one of the most renowned buildings in Spain, but at first everybody hated it! But now, La Pedrera (the quarry), as locals call it, is one of Barcelona's must-sees. You will visit the tenant's apartment, the patios on the ground floor and the rooftop which panoramic views, which are said to be the best in Barcelona
You will then arrive at Passeig de Gràcia, the most exclusive boulevard in the city. We could call this street Barcelona’s 5th Avenue. In the past, rich families started a competition in the area to have the most eccentric facades: that’s why we found such a rich heritage. Listen to some local anecdotes while you stroll towards the next Gaudi stop.
The guide will explain the facade, and you'll hear anecdotes, meanings and symbolism behind every detail of it. Inside, your guide will lead you through the main vestibule and the noble floor. After Casa Batlló, you will have a 2-hour break for lunch. Our guide will provide some local recommendations and indications for you to find the afternoon meeting point. The starting time for the Sagrada Familia tour may vary depending on availability and season, but it's generally between 4 and 6pm.
