    Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct

    This is where you find one of the oldest building in Johannesburg. The constitutional hill, it is where you find the old fort that was built by the apartheid government to protect South Africa from the British. It is also known as the brutal place where African people were held inhumane conditions and some died of diseases and torture. Today it is famous because it is where you find the highest court in the country, if you are an art lover; this is a place for you.

    Carlton Centre

    Carlton centre used to be the tallest building in African and Southern Hemisphere for almost 40yrs. We’ll head up to the 50th floor to soak up the views and get the lay of the land before hitting the pavements, strolling down streets lined with both historic and modern buildings.

    It is at this stop where you will see the evidence of mining in Johannesburg. we are going to go underground to and old mining stope which was discovered when they were building a bank

    Hector Pieterson Memorial

    The Memorial commemorates the bravery of the students who were killed by the apartheid government for fighting against the use of Afrikaans as medium of instruction in schools. About 800 students were killed in what was to be known as the Soweto Uprising

    Mandela House

    This is the first house of Nelson Mandela where he stayed with his Wife Winnie Mandela in Soweto. The house became a target during the apartheid times, it has been patrolled bombed, shot at and today it is a museum which displayed some of many of Nelson Mandela special memories. The house is on the Vilakazi Street which became the only street in the world to have two Nobel Peace winners which is Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu
