Leaving Marrakech at 8:00 in the morning and after picking you up wherever you are we will leave for Ouarzazate 6 days from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert. On the crossing, we will cross the Atlas through the amazing port Tizi n’Tichka, which is 2,260 meters high. Shortly after crossing the Atlas, we will opt for a path to travel the Kasbah of the Pacha Glaouet in Telouet. During our tour of several Berber villages, we will arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an impressive fortified city with more than 800 years of history. She has been the site of films like Gladiator or The Kingdom of Heaven. After concluding the tours, we will go to Ouarzazate, where you can tour the film studios. We'll spend the first night here.
After breakfast and visiting the Kasbah Taourirt, we will head towards Zagora, crossing the Anti Atlas mountain ranges and crossing the port of Tizi n Tinifift, with an altitude of 1,600 meters. For a clue, as we enter the Draa Valley, we will observe several Berber villages and kasbahs inside. After leaving the villages N’kob, Tarazine and Alnif, we will follow another route linking disappeared villages until we reach the Mharech Gorges. Many of these segments are performed during the Dakar Rally. We'll end the day sleeping in a riad.
As we proceed along the Dakar Rally track, we will cross more isolated villages, cross uadis (dry channels), oases and the summits of Ouzina. Following the route, we will visit the famous village of Khamlia, from the slaves who came from Africa, and we will appreciate its amazing traditional music. From Khamlia, follow the route to Erg Chebbi, the highest dunes in Morocco. Overnight at the hotel near the dunes.
This will be a stage where after breakfast, we tour another of the tracks that use in the “Paris-Dakar Rally” visiting desert nomads with whom we will have tea. We will visit the village of “the Negroes”, named after the slave trade they brought from the Sudan. And after lunch we will change the 4×4 traction to the animal traction. The dromedaries will take us through the desert of dunes to enjoy an unforgettable sunset. Tonight will be unique, we will accommodate our dreams in the dunes of nomadic tents (Jaimas). Here we will have a Berber dinner, music and a star-studded firmament you have never witnessed. Dinner and accommodation in unforgettable Jaima.
After observing the amazing dawn in the desert, we will take the camels again to return to “civilization”. We'll stay at a hotel so you can take a shower and recharge. Once cleared, we will head to Rissani, birthplace of the Alawite dynasty and the first imperial city of Morocco. We will follow the route to Erfoud, abundant in black stone and marine fossils (if you wish, we can stop at a fossil factory) and we will arrive at the Palmal de Tafilalet. We will visit the Gorges of the Rhode before arriving at the Dades Valley, where we will sleep the fourth night.
After leaving the Dades Valley on the way to the “Thousand Kasbahs”, we will pass through the amazing Rose Valley and arrive at the Skoura palm grove, where the most recognized kasbah in the region is located. From this point we will start the way back to Marrakech to the Desert and eat on the way. It is the end of the journey with us and an excellent journey.
