Hanoi/Ninh Binh – Lan Ha Bay Full-day Boat Tour– Bioluminescent Night Kayak (L, D)

Old Quarter
7:00-7:20. Picking up from the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter area or Ninh Binh and departure to Cat Ba Island. We’ll make a short stops along the way for rest. Upon arrival in Hai Phong City, we’ll take a ferry to Cat Ba Island and continue by road to Ben Beo Pier.

Cat Ba Island
Arrive at Ben Beo Pier. Board the boat, begin your cruise through the stunning Lan Ha Bay. As we set sail, you'll be amazed by the spectacular limestone formations rising from the emerald waters. We’ll pass Cai Beo Fishing Village - one of the oldest and most traditional floating villages in northern Vietnam - continue sailing among thousands of uniquely shaped karst towers. 12:00: Enjoy a freshly prepared Vietnamese lunch onboard, lovingly cooked by our local crew (vegetarian options available). 14:30: Explore the pristine lagoon area of Lan Ha Bay by kayak. Paddle through the Dark and Bright Caves, natural tunnels, and majestic archways. This area is both stunning & ecologically protected.

Lan Ha Bay
16:30: Stop at Ba Trai Dao Beach for swimming and jumping from the boat. This beach is remote, quiet, and less touristy - ideal for discovering temple beaches, hidden lagoons, and scenic rock arches. 17:30: Visit a local floating fish farm to learn how fishermen live and work on the water. Join a hands-on cooking class onboard, where you'll learn to prepare traditional Vietnamese dishes. Dinner will be served on the boat. 19:30: As the sun sets, experience the enchantment of bioluminescent plankton. Join our guide for a special kayaking session in areas glowing with natural light. You may also swim under the stars and watch your silhouette sparkle in the dark water. 20:00: Arrive at Viet Hai Village, located around 10 kilometers from Cat Ba Town. Nestled in the heart of the jungle, this charming village is surrounded by lush forest, towering mountains, and serene natural beauty. Overnight at our homestay.

Day 2
Discover Viet Hai Village – Swimming/ Trekking – Hanoi/Ninh Binh (B, L)

Viet Hai Village
06:30: Enjoy a hearty breakfast at our restaurant. 07:30: Hop on a bicycle & cycle around Viet Hai Village. Take in the fresh mountain air, scenic views & even try a fun fish massage in the natural stream. 08:30: Check out of your room. We’ll return to Viet Hai Pier and set sail once more toward the Island.

Lan Ha Bay
09:30: Arrive at the Island. Relax & swim on the sandy beach, or take a short trek up to the island’s viewpoint for a panoramic view of Lan Ha Bay. 10:30: Lunch is served onboard as we cruise back toward the harbor. 11:30: Arrive at Cai Beo Harbor. Board the bus for your return journey to Hanoi or Ninh Binh.

Old Quarter
16:00 – 16:30: You will arrive at your stay in Hanoi/ Ninh Binh. End trips! On weekends or holidays, some roads in Hanoi Old Quarter will not allow vehicles to make room for the Walking Street; therefore, the buses will drop you off at the Bus office in the Old Quarter instead.
