Mount Toubkal Trek 2 Days. Scale the highest peak in Morocco on this two-day guided excursion from Marrakech. You’ll travel into the heart of the High Atlas mountains and begin your ascent from the village of Imlil. You’ll pass juniper forests and alpine meadows on your way to the Refuge de Toubkal, where you’ll camp for the night before reaching the summit and its stunning views of Morocco. Round-trip transfer from Marrakech plus accommodation, meals, and a mule for luggage make this a hassle-free escape.
We provide pickup for our travelers from their accommodations in Marrakech. Our driver will contact the guests the day before to confirm the exact pickup time, which is typically between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, depending on the location. Guests should be ready at the lobby or reception area of their accommodation.
Your journey begins with a morning pickup from your Marrakech hotel at 8:00 am.
You'll drive towards the Atlas Mountains, reaching the village of Imlil (1740m) where the trek starts
Led by an experienced guide, you'll hike through Berber villages, stopping for a scenic picnic lunch near the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch (2500m).
Continuing onwards, you'll arrive at the Toubkal refuge (3200m) where you'll enjoy mint tea, optional shower, and a traditional Moroccan dinner. Overnight stay at the refuge or tent during summer months.
Early rise for breakfast around 5:00 am. Begin the ascent towards Toubkal summit at 5:30 am.
After a short break for refreshments, continue the climb for 3-4 hours to reach the summit, offering panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. Spend 25 minutes at the summit before descending back to the refuge for lunch.
Follow the same route back to Imlil, concluding the trekking adventure.
Transfer back to Marrakech where you'll be dropped off at your hotel.
