Jama Masjid happens to be one of the largest mosques in India. Built by emperor Shah Jahan in 1556, the mosque continues to be one of the most visited and can hold a sea of devotees at one point in time. There is no entry fee to the mosque. However, the use of a camera or mobile camera requires a ticket of 300 INR. Ladies have to mandatorily wear a gown (provided by the mosque staff) and are expected to pay 50 INR for the gown.
The most captivating part of a Gurudwara is the Langar - a community kitchen, run by full-time workers and volunteers who are deeply inspired by the true feeling of Seva (community service). Men and women volunteer here, and sometimes kids too, making this rendezvous a highly immersive experience. Everyone has to cover their head and leave their shoes and socks outside before entering the temple.
