Start the day with your adrenaline pumping on a Canyoning Experience tour, where we will immerse ourselves in nature by taking you to explore magnificent rivers and waterfalls using different canyoning techniques such as jumps, rappels, and water slides. Undoubtedly, the most thrilling and adventurous way to experience Azorean nature up close in one of the most beautiful locations on the island.
Spend the afternoon exploring the picturesque village of Furnas, where you will enjoy the traditional “Cozido das Furnas” at a local restaurant. Afterward, visit the volcanic calderas and choose between a relaxing bath in the thermal waters of Parque Terra Nostra or Poça da Dona Beija, both iconic locations (entrance tickets not included).

Meeting and pickup
The transfer service (pick-up and drop-off) is included in this tour.
Pick-up will be provided at or close to the place of your accommodation. When the activity is over, we will drop you off at the same place. Consider this for the city of Ponta Delgada (for other areas, please contact us).
Approximate pick-up times between 8:30 and 8:50 a.m.
What to expect
The Canyoning Experience: After reaching the top of the canyon you will start the second part of your adventure. You can expect several jumps (between 2 and 7 meters in height, all optional), a natural slide and some abseils (between 5 and 15m in height). We will walk back along our initial path to the starting point.
After the canyoning experience, it’s time for a well-deserved lunch. We will go to the village of Furnas where you will taste a traditional dish “Cozido das Furnas” in a local restaurant. We will then take a short walk to the Caldeiras Vulcânicas to get a closer look at the fumarolic fields and hot springs.
Proceed with a visit to Terra Nostra Botanical Garden or Poça Dona Beija, where you can relax in the therapeutic thermal waters.
