For adventure lovers! Travel to the south of Yucatan, start the day by visiting the remote community of San Agustin, get to know their way of life and interact with locals. Then, live an adventure in the incredible Grutas Chocantes in Tekax.
Early in the morning you’ll leave for the south, to the heart of the Puuc area. When you arrive, you’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast in the facilities of the cooperative Turismo Indígena San Agustín. During your stay you’ll enjoy the tranquility of the community and observe some of the economic activities that take place in the town, such as the production of charcoal and wooden furniture, the fabrication of word-carved handicrafts and hammock weaving, and the cultivation of vegetables and medicinal plants in a small local plot.
After recharging batteries with a home-cooked meal at the cooperative, head to the Grutas Chocantes, where you’ll visit the famous Crystal Caves and their lookout point located on one of the highest hills in the Yucatan, where you can take the longest zip line in the state.
