The visit starts at the Visitor Reception Centre with the screening of a film about Itaipu and follows in our bus to get to know the hydroelectric plant. The route passes through the spillway lookout and includes a stop at the central gazebo, from where you have a wide view of the dam with its approximately 8 km long and 196 meters high. Then will be made a brief explanation of the operation of the plant. The visit continues on the bus, through the penstocks. Depending on the plant's operation, the bus can also go over the dam, from where you have a breathtaking view: the Parana River in Foz do Iguaçu in the background and, in the opposite direction, the reservoir of 1,350 km² which supplies Itaipu.

The script follows with a 2 km walk on a trail in the midst of native forest and involves environmental education lessons.
