  Tskaltubo - a popular resort, which is famous for its healing waters in Western Georgia. Due to the fact that the temperature of the carbonated mineral springs is 33-35 Celsius, this allows the use of water without preheating. Here are offered balneological therapies for the treatment of circulatory, nervous and musculoskeletal and skin diseases. Over the past decades "speleotherapy" also became popular for the treatment of lung diseases, a key feature of which is the use of karst caves, representing an environment in which there is no dust.

  Prometheus Cave

  Kumistavi cave, also known as the cave of Prometheus, is located near the Georgian town of Tskhaltubo, 20 km away from Kutaisi in the Imereti region in the West of the country. The cave was discovered in 1984 and was almost immediately developed as a show itself. Kumistavi owes a famous Caucasian myth about Amirani for the sonorous naming of the “Cave of Prometheus”. There are spectacular views of stalactites, stalagmites, petrified waterfalls, underground rivers and lakes of the cave. Throughout the cave, there are colorful lights, ranging from orange, red to pink and blue. Exactly here you may choose a walking tour along the 1600m route or the boat ride along the underground river.

  Bagrati Cathedral is an ancient Georgian architectural monument in Kutaisi, towering over the city on the hill of Ukimerioni. It was built in the 10th-11th centuries under the rule of Bagrat III (975-1014), the first king of united Georgia. Bagrati Cathedral probably is among the most iconic site to visit in Georgia, and it should be a must-have on your travel list if you have been in those parts of Georgia. The cathedral, rebuilt officially on September 16, 2012 after heavy damage ages ago, served as a masterpiece in the history of modern and medieval Georgian architecture.
