As you walk through the rock galleries, you'll see intricate depictions of animals, ancestral beings, and Dreamtime stories that have been passed down through generations. After touring the rock art, those who opt to hike can ascend to the Ubirr lookout for panoramic views of the surrounding floodplains and wetlands. The Yellow Water River cruise provides an intimate way to experience Kakadu’s vast wetlands, which teem with wildlife. As you glide along the water, you will see an array of native animals, including saltwater crocodiles, a variety of bird species (such as jabiru, kingfishers, and whistling ducks), and other wildlife like wild buffalo and wallabies.
