Ghorepani Poon Hill Sunrise Trek is one of the shorter treks that is quite easy but fulfilling. This evergreen trekking course takes you to some of the most beautiful villages and hills. The comfortable and smooth trekking will allow you to get a glimpse of snow-clad mountains and some ethnic cultures of Nepal.

During the trek, we will pass across Modi Khola from Kyumi to the beautiful village of Ghandruk. The major attraction of Ghandruk is the distinctive culture of the Gurungs. They will entertain visitors with their traditional dances and also offer them ethnic dresses and ornaments.

Itinerary

    Day 1

    Day 1: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri 2,155m (6 Hrs)

    After having breakfast, we get on a private vehicle that will take us to Nayapul. The ride is of merely 1 hour. From Nayapul, we begin our trek towards Poonhill. We walk along with forests, villages, and farmlands for 6 hours until we reach Ulleri where we spend the night.

    Day 2: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani 2,845m (5 Hrs)

    We trek uphill through beautiful rhododendron forest for 5 hours until we reach Ghorepani. Situated at an elevation of 2,845m, it is a popular place with many tourists and hotels. We’ll spend the night in Ghorepani

    Day 3: Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani 2,630m (5 Hrs)

    Early in the morning, we hike to Poon Hill. It takes about an hour to reach the top of Poon Hill, which is at the height of 3,210 meters. We will watch the beautiful sunrise along with the mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machapuchhre, and Nilgiri, among others. We will then come back to our hotel for breakfast. After that, we will hike for about 5 hours through Deurali and finally reach Tadapani where we spend the night

    Day 4: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk 1,940m (4 Hrs)

    After having breakfast, we will start our hike towards Ghandruk. We walk for about 4 hours through deep forest and finally reach Ghandruk. There, we will go to our hotel and freshen up. Later in the evening, we will stroll around the village as we explore Gurung culture

    Day 5: Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara

    On the last day, we hike from Ghandruk for 5 to 6 hours until we reach Nayapul. We go through the popular Syauli Bazaar on the way. Upon reaching Pokhara, a private vehicle will pick us up and drop us in our hotel in Pokhara.
