As the sun begins its descent on the horizon, the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes, just 50 km south of Erfoud, offer a truly breathtaking panorama. Legend has it that a wealthy local family was buried beneath these immense sand mounds, as a punishment for denying hospitality to a poor woman and her son.
