We will start in front of the Convento de S. Francisco our circular route that includes a visit to the Diocesan Museum (paid) and the tasting of 3 typical Santarém sweets.
Museum with a vast collection of sacred art. Includes a visit to the Cathedral.
Visit to the Convent of S. Francisco (closed on Monday), and to the old Plaza de Armas of the Escola Pratica de Cavalaria where the Carnation Revolution began.
Historical analysis of the scenes depicted on the magnificent public tiles. Observation of other panels nearby and the past they portray.
Tasting of typical Santarém sweets. Observation of part of the old walls. History of the adventures of Sá da Bandeira, national hero and son of Santarém. The Scalabis City designed by the Romans, where the future emperor Julio César lived.
