4Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble
I drove another 10 minutes, we will visit the fortress of Ananuri, which was at different times a bastion stopping the conquest of Iberia, and also was the house home of the princely family of Eristavi. There, in the parking lot, there is a small bazaar of Georgian souvenirs along which you can take a walk. After driving 40 minutes, we will stop at the confluence of white and black Aragvi and at 10 meters we will see a clear strip of rivers of different colors before they merge into one.

We will continue our journey along the Georgian military road and climb up to the Gudauri ski resort we stop at the Arch of Friendship (Zurab Tsereteli) and enjoy the views almost at the cross pass, whose height is 2295 meters above sea level. Climbing to the Cross Pass, we will begin the descent to the village of Stepantsminda on the road stopping for a photo pause at the Red Mountain (mineral secretions of mountain springs).

We climb on an SUV to the Gergeti church 2,200 meters, then the load on the horses, people on foot. Ascent to the weather station 3653 meters above sea level for 6-7 hours. Night at the weather station in the sleeping bags on the sunbeds. At the weather station there is a source from which they drink. It is recommended to take 10 liters of water per person for all ascents that climbers themselves will carry.
