  Utah Beach

  Utah Beach is the westernmost beach of the five landing areas of the Normandy Invasion of World War II. It was assaulted on June 6, 1944 (D-Day of the invasion), by elements of the U.S. 4th Infantry Division.

  Musee du Debarquement Utah Beach

  Outstanding WWII museum. Built on the very spot where American troops landed on 6 June 1944, the museum tells the story of D-Day in ten sequences, from its preparation to its successful conclusion. Thanks to a complete chronological tour, immerse yourself in the history of the D-Day landings and discover a collection rich in objects, vehicles, equipment and testimonies. See an authentic B26 bomber, an exceptional aircraft of which there are only a few left in the world, and relive the epic of the American soldiers through the film Victory Beach, which won the Golden Eagle Award for Documentary in 2012 and the Special Jury Prize in 2013. When you leave the site, you will not only have understood the strategic choice and the reasons for success at Utah Beach, but you will also have contributed to the preservation and transmission of the memory of these extraordinary men.

  Enjoy a lunch in Carentan, a town liberated by the 101st Airborne, featured in Band of Brothers. We will provide salads or sandwiches and drinks, let us know what you prefer. You will have some time to explore the town after lunch.

  Pointe du Hoc

  Pointe du Hoc is a high point between two of the five D-Day landing beaches, Utah and Omaha. It is renowned for the daring assault conducted on 6 June 1944 by the 2nd U.S. Ranger Battalion in an effort to neutralise the German artillery battery there. Start your tour at the Visitor's Center.

  Omaha Beach

  Omaha Beach was part of the invasion area assigned to the U.S. First Army, under Lieutenant General Omar Bradley. The assault sectors at Omaha were code-named (from west to east) Charlie, Dog (consisting of Green, White, and Red sections), Easy (Green and Red sections), and Fox (Green and Red sections). We will have one or two stops on Omaha Beach, at either Vierville, St Laurent, and/or Colleville.
