This workshop introduces the refined art of Kuro Montsuki dyeing, perfected over 400 years to produce the deep black of Japan’s most formal kimono. Guided by a master craftsman, you will explore its history and ties to identity and heritage. In the studio, imprint your chosen kamon — a symbolic crest — onto a jet-black tenugui scarf. Each piece becomes a personal souvenir, versatile as an accessory, decoration, or keepsake.
