After breakfast you will drive to the Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. Tarangire is another jewel in the Northern Tanzania Circuit. Surrounded by Maasai Steppes and the Lakes of the Great Rift Valley, it has sprawling grasslands dotted with majestic Baobabs, swamps, woodlands, and charming hills. The river Tarangire that flows through it throughout the year attracts herds of elephants, wildebeests, buffalos, and many other species along with flocks of birds. Especially during the dry season spotting wildlife will be quite easy as vegetation will be dried up which will improve visibility and an abundance of animals could be found near water bodies. Today you will drive to the famous Serengeti National Park which is one of Africa’s premier game parks. Driving through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Serengeti National Park you will begin to experience the vastness of this territory and marvel at the multitude of animal and bird life while cruising through this acacia spotted savannah. The Serengeti is Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park and is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Serengeti is a year-round destination and each season has its own special highlight with the most famous being the annual wildebeest migration, a once in a lifetime experience. Enjoy full day game drive in Serengeti National Park. The region is humming with wildlife. The area possesses a variety of habitats, ranging from swamps and rivers to kopjes and thick woodlands, which in turn nurture a variety of fauna. In fact, a particular Simba Kopje here is the very kopje that inspired the Pride Rock seen in Disney’s The Lion King! After breakfast, go on last part of game drive in Serengeti National Park with parked lunch. Later in the afternoon start driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. You will visit a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands where you will meet the Elders, Warriors, women and children and learn about the culture, beliefs and traditions of Tanzania’s last nomadic tribe. Today you will be rewarded with a full day game drive in the stunning Ngorongoro Crater which became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979 and is one of the only places on earth where mankind and wild animals co-exist is harmony. The Ngorongoro Crater is famous for Africa’s best game viewing as there is an ever present abundance of wildlife due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. Upon arrival at the Crater’s rim you will descend 610 meters into the Crater where your safari truly begins. Spot the endangered black rhino as well as wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, eland, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelle and of course, giant tusked elephants. The Crater also has the largest known population of lions and you will also find leopards and cheetahs as well as scavengers such as spotted hyenas, jackals and rare wild dogs. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and these include white pelicans and flamingos.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is a hidden gem worth a visit. The park offers a truly unique wilderness experience across a range of diverse habitats and wildlife. Lions are a treat to see anywhere on safari, but tree-climbing lion are something of a rarity and are usually only found in a few locales, one of which is Lake Manyara National Park. While most lion prefer to remain land-bound, the tree-climbing lion of Tanzania can be found lounging cosily or sleeping on branches Later, drive to Arusha Area for dinner and overnight stay.
