After breakfast you will drive to the Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. Tarangire is another jewel in the Northern Tanzanian Circuit. Surrounded by Maasai Steppes and the Lakes of the Great Rift Valley, it has sprawling grasslands dotted with majestic Baobabs, swamps, woodlands, and charming hills. The river Tarangire that flows through it throughout the year attracts herds of elephants, wildebeests, buffalos, and many other species along with flocks of birds. Especially during the dry season spotting wildlife will be quite easy as vegetation will be dried up which will improve visibility and an abundance of animals could be found near water bodies. It’s located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, adjoining the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, is a unique and captivating safari destination. With exceptional ecological importance makes it a key area for conservation and wildlife observation. Ndutu is most famous for the Great Migration, specifically the calving season from December to March. This natural phenomenon attracts thousands of wildebeests and zebras, followed by predators, offering spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities. The area's ecosystem supports a variety of wildlife, including endangered and vulnerable species. Full day game drive in the stunning Ngorongoro Crater which became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979 and one of the only places on earth where mankind and wild animals co-exist is harmony. The Ngorongoro Crater is famous for Africa’s best game viewing as there is an ever present abundance of wildlife due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. Upon arrival at the Crater’s rim you will descend 610 meters into the Crater where your safari truly begins. Spot the endangered black rhino as well as wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, eland, Grant’s, Thomson’s gazelle and of course, giant tusked elephants. The Crater also has the largest known population of lions and you will also find leopards and cheetahs as well as scavengers such as spotted hyenas, jackals and rare wild dogs. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and these include white pelicans and flamingos.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport for an outbound flight.
