    Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Gorges

    Dades Gorges

    Depart at 07:00 from your hotel in Marrakech and head south through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters, stopping for photos along the way. Visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO site featured in Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue to Ouarzazate for lunch, then visit the Cinema Museum or Taourirt Kasbah. Pass through the Skoura Oasis and Kalaat M’gouna, the Valley of Roses, before reaching the Dades Gorges in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at a hotel with half-board accommodation such as Hotel Babylon Dades, Kasbah Tizzarouine, or Auberge Panorama Dades.

    Dades Gorges → Todra Gorges → Erfoud → Merzouga

    After breakfast, take a short walk to explore the Dades Gorges, famous for their striking rock formations known as the “Monkey Fingers.” Continue driving through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, lined with ancient fortified villages. Stop at Tinghir to visit the impressive Todra Gorges, where cliffs rise up to 300 meters high, and enjoy lunch nearby. In the afternoon, head toward the Saharan towns of Erfoud, known for its fossils, and Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet. Arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes, and around 4:30 to 5:00 PM, embark on a camel ride into the desert to witness the sunset. Upon arrival at your Berber bivouac camp, enjoy a traditional dinner, campfire music, and stargazing in the peaceful silence of the Sahara before spending the night at the desert camp.

    Merzouga → Ouarzazate → Marrakech

    Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, a truly breathtaking experience. Afterward, ride camels or take a 4x4 transfer back to the village of Merzouga. Enjoy breakfast and a shower at the camp or guesthouse before beginning the return journey. Drive through Erfoud and Alnif, crossing the scenic Anti-Atlas Mountains toward Ouarzazate. Stop for lunch in Ouarzazate or near the High Atlas, then continue along the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass back to Marrakech, arriving around 8:00 PM depending on stops and traffic.
