Five days in the heart of the Red Centre, where every sunrise feels unreal and every night sky looks endless.
This small-group adventure starts and ends in Alice Springs, taking you deep into Australia’s most iconic landscapes — Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon, and the dramatic East & West MacDonnell Ranges. You’ll hike through ancient gorges, swim in hidden outback waterholes, and stand in places shaped by millions of years of history.
At Kings Canyon, tackle the famous Rim Walk and explore surreal formations like the Lost City and the lush Garden of Eden. At Uluru, witness glowing sunsets, powerful cultural stories, and the raw energy of one of the world’s most sacred sites.
By night, the desert takes over — crackling campfires, swag camping under billions of stars, and immersive First Nations astronomy experiences that completely change the way you see the sky.
This is not just a tour. It’s a full Red Centre immersion — raw, remote, unforgettable.

The guide will pick you up from your Alice Springs accommodation at around 6:00am before setting off on a scenic 4.5-hour drive towards Yulara, with a short stop along the way for an early lunch. After arriving in the Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park, continue to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), where 36 massive domes rise dramatically from the desert floor. Here, you’ll enjoy the Walpa Gorge Walk, a stunning trail that follows a natural creek bed winding between the towering rock formations.
As evening approaches, head to the Uluru sunset viewing area and enjoy a light snack as the changing light transforms the rock into rich earthy tones. Return to camp for dinner and an evening under the stars.
Start early with a breathtaking Uluru sunrise. Visit one of Uluru’s culturally significant sites, where your guide will share Anangu rock art and creation stories, before completing the full base walk around Uluru
After lunch, visit the Cultural Centre to learn more about local First Nations culture and art, then continue to your exclusive campsite near Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon) for dinner.
This morning, tackle the iconic Kings Canyon Rim Walk, a spectacular gorge with towering sandstone cliffs. Its rugged landscape shelters over 600 native plant and animal species. You’ll discover highlights like the Lost City, the Garden of Eden, the Amphitheatre, and the North and South Walls of the canyon.
We enjoy lunch before driving during much of the afternoon to our overnight camp in the West MacDonnell Ranges. Tonight, join an immersive First Nations star talk beneath the vast, uninterrupted skies of the West MacDonnell Ranges, stepping beyond the constellations you thought you knew and into a sky rich with ancient knowledge.
Visit Ormiston Gorge, one of the most photographed locations in the Red Centre.
Watch for black-footed rock wallabies while taking in the vibrant cliffs surrounding the waterhole. Continue on to Redbank Gorge and Ellery Creek Big Hole, both popular spots for a refreshing swim.
After Lunch, travel on to the East MacDonnell Ranges, one of the Outback’s best-kept secrets. We arrive at our bush camp for the night at the Arltunga Eco Pub & Bush Retreat in the East MacDonnell Ranges. After dinner, enjoy guided stargazing from one of the darkest places in Australia, with next-to-zero light pollution. View the stars and learn about much of Australia’s Southern skies from your guide.
After breakfast, we drive to Trephina Gorge where you’ll set off on a one-hour guided walk to see its quartzite cliffs, ancient river red gums and a wide variety of birdlife.
Then we explore Emily and Jesse Gaps Nature Park. Jessie Gap is a flat, sandy, and easy walk that leads directly to the gap’s dramatic red rock faces and sacred Aboriginal rock art. After a satisfying day spent exploring the East MacDonnell Ranges, we head back to Alice Springs, where our epic five–day adventure ends.
