After breakfast, we will begin our journey south to the Merzouga desert, passing through the cities of Midelt and Errachidia. The first stop on our Grand Tour of Morocco will be in Ifrane, known as "the Switzerland of Morocco."
On the way to Merzouga, we will drive through the Ziz Valley and see the Middle and Higher Atlas mountains. Next, we will visit the famous cedar forest, which is the largest in Morocco and home to the Barbary macaques. As we approach Er Rachidia, the landscape gradually changes, giving us a glimpse of the desert. After lunch in Midelt, we will continue our journey through the breathtaking Ziz Valley, making stops for panoramic views along the way.
After traveling through Berber villages, we'll continue to Erfoud and then Rissani, the birthplace of Morocco's ruling royal family, the Alaouites.
