Challenge yourself to climb the highest peak in North Africa in 2 or 3 days. The tour starts and finishes in the vibrant city of Marrakech, and includes transport to and from Imlil . We will trek with a local English
speaking guide , a local cook and mules to carry our luggage. It’s a challenging walk rather than a climb, and anybody in good physical condition can reach the top. Make sure you bring your camera; the views from the summit are spectacular. Mount Toubkal 4167m is the highest peak in North Africa, and is a trekking peak involving no climbing two days involve walking in crampons holding an ice axe for security (Nov to April ) . The itinerary has been designed for keen walkers, as the ascent is non-technical, but involves some easy scrambling and snow slopes

1Marrakech-Safi
Enjoy Adventure trek. We pick up from Marrakech, and we drive towards the High Atlas Mountains and Asni.

2Imlil
After arrival to Imlil, meet the team (guide & muleteer) and the set off for the trek.

We start adventure walking up Toubkal massif via Aroumd village & follow a mule path, pass through the Sharine Sidi Chamharouch, enjoy the view over the river & streams along the way up to the Toubkal base camp.

After an early breakfast (around 4.30 am), you start the ascent via a step & zig-zaging path up to above the basecamp, the guide will manage many breaks to acclimatize with the altitude & find a good pace, water & some nuts will be provided along the way, 1st view of the summit after 2.30hrs walk, enjoy the sight of the edge & a stunning view over the river on the other side, continue through the edge and then a small plateau to reach the summit within another 30min walk. relax & enjoy the views of the surrounding high Atlas peaks & valleys, light picnic before you walk down via the north side of the summit back to the basecamp for a 3 meals cours lunch.

After short tea break we walking down to Imlil valley (via the same path), get a pick up & drive to Marrakech.

Meet our driver in Imlil from where we drive you to Marrakech. End of Toubkal trek.
