What to expect

Discover the underwater world with the Open Water Diver (OWD) course in Marsa Alam, one of Egypt’s top diving spots. This globally recognized beginner course is designed to build your confidence and skills for safe, enjoyable diving in the Red Sea’s vibrant coral reefs.

The three-day course includes six dives. Day one focuses on theory and basic skills in a pool or shallow water. On the next two days, you’ll head out by boat to explore open-water sites, diving to a maximum depth of 18 meters under the guidance of certified instructors.

Choose the learning style that suits you: begin with an introduction dive directly from the boat and review theory later at your hotel, or follow a more structured path with classroom sessions and in-water training. All course materials, including the OWD manual, are provided.

By the end, you’ll be a certified Open Water Diver—and take home incredible memories of Marsa Alam’s rich marine life and colorful reefs.
