On this trek we will have the perspective of exuberant beauty of the northeast coast of the island, where the contrast between the land and the Atlantic Ocean makes this landscape simply unforgettable. Along the way, there are incredible views surrounding the city of Machico with its, landscaping, houses and buildings.
Then we will pass through the path of Boca Da Risco where we will reach a viewpoint that offers a wonderful view of the north coast of the island.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We have two meeting points in the center of Funchal City. One is by the cable car station located in the old town. The other is located in the roundabout so-called "Rotunda do Infante".
We are located at the entrance of the Shopping Center, on the right side. Our shop is easy to find, just look for a yellow smiley face, shop sign.

This walk connects Porto da Cruz and Machico through an old footpath once used by the local people to move from one place to another to do exchange business. The viewpoint of Boca do Risco, will offer you views of the Atlantic Ocean as well as the Ponta de São Lourenço. The Penha d’Aguia and, if the weather permits, The Porto Santo Island.
