Swayambhunath is located in the western hillock of Kathmandu. This Buddhist stupa is considered one of the best attraction of Kathmandu City. From ancient architecture to ancient symbolism,Swayambhunath is an important shrine in both Buddhist as well as Hindu culture. The stupa comprises many important shrines,monastery, temples, museum, and library.
Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest shrines of the Hindus. It is also considered as the largest Hindu temple in South Asia with iconic Hindu God, Goddesses and hundreds of Shiva Lingam. The two-tiered golden temple is a perfect example of the Nepalese architecture. Although tourists are not allowed inside the premises of the temple, they can witness the open cremation in the bank of the Bagmati river.
Boudhanath Stupa is one of the biggest and oldest Buddhist monument in the world. It is Considered to be the tomb of Kassapa Buddha, Boudhanath marks as one of the most significant destinations in Buddhism. The place is no less significant when it comes to architecture. The dome-shaped stupa is built with different three levels in a Mandala style and is decorated with colorful prayer flags. The atmosphere of Boudhanath Stupa is both vibrant as well as tranquil.
After breakfast, we depart for our wildlife adventure to Chitwan. The 5-6hour drive via Mugling-Narayanghat road beholds more scenic views and a vibrant atmosphere of the plains. Upon arriving at Chitwan, we check-in to our resort. After Lunch, Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village, where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus. Visit to the National Park visitor’s centre where you can learn more about the history of the National Park and about wildlife & sunset view from the bank of Rapti River. In the evening, we go to see Tharu Cultural Dance Program performed by the Tharus which will be another highlight of your visit to Chitwan. The Tharus in colourful traditional costumes unique in their disparity with the common mode of dress all over Nepal, are sure to captivate you.
On this day, we explore the wilderness of Chitwan with a full day jungle activities.We will go for Canoe ride along the Rapti River for bird watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating Gharial. On the way back, we can enjoy the elephant bathing view. After Lunch, we go for Jeep safari inside Chitwan National Park where we can get an excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky). You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home.
After breakfast, we hit the road from Kathmandu to the marvelous city of Pokhara. The scenic drive (5-6 hours)through Prithvi Highway is vibrant with plenty of terraced fields, green valleys, occasional Bazaars, and beautiful terrains. Once we reach Pokhara, we can choose whether to rest or go for a walk around the Phewa Lake in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.
We start our day before sunrise with an excursion to Sarangkot. Located at the elevation of 1,592m, Sarangkot is a famous viewpoint in Pokhara that offers a spectacular sunrise view along with incredible glimpses of Annapurna Massif and Mt. Machhapuchhre.On the way back to hotel, we visit to Bindhya Basini Temple which is famous tourist destination in Pokhara. Nestled atop a tiny hill in Old Pokhara, this holy temple is a shrine dedicated to Lord Durga, an incarnation of Parvati. After breakfast, we explore around Pokhara valley. 1 Devi’s Fall 2 Gupteshor Cave 3 World Peace Pagoda 4 International Mountain Museum Later in the afternoon , we do boating in Fewa lake.
On this day, after breakfast, we retrace our scenic route back to Kathmandu.Upon arrival, we will be escorted to the hotel where we can relax and freshen up. In the evening, the representative of K.J Adventures will pick you for the farewell dinner. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, we check out hotel in Kathmandu and drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Bhaktapur is an ancient city that lies on the eastern part of the Kathmandu valley. As the city is also known as “Nepal’s Cultural Gem,” it is filled with adequate arts, architectures, culture, and history. The UNESCO World Heritage site includes ancient palaces, temples, monuments, sculptures, and pagodas.
After Bhaktapur Sightseeing, we drive to Nagarkot. Nagarkot is one of the most popular hill stations that lies 32 kilometers north of Kathmandu. This vantage point is best known for the startling sunrise and sunset view from the top. At the elevation of 2,160m, Nagarkot offers the broadest views of the rugged Himalayas and dramatic scenery in Kathmandu valley. On a good weather condition, this hill station offers a sensational view of some of the world’s highest mountains including Mt. Everest, Manaslu, Annapurna, Langtang, and Ganesh Himal. Overnight in Nagarkot.
