The Chimneys was built around 1770 by an immigrant Scotsman, John Glassel, a merchant. Loyal to the British crown when the Revolution broke out, he left his property to his brother and returned to Scotland. Note: The tour is over 1+ miles long, with more than 15+ audio stories, and takes about 1–2 hours to complete. Buy once, use for one year! When you arrive in Fredericksburg. your first visit should be at the world-famous Visitor Center. As we go around the streets of this town, you'll learn its history and hear tales of soldiers, residents, and even ghosts.

Not only is the Rising Sun Tavern a museum, but it is also known for the ghosts who live there. You'll find out about important people like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson who visited or stayed at the inn.
